A person who owns property such as a home, apartment buildings, mobile homes etc. And rents them out is known as a lessor and the one who rents the property a lessee. Sometimes the lessor must serve an evict tenant letter to the lessee. A yearly lease is signed by the renter to protect the owner's interests if the tenant does not follow this lease which they signed entailing the rules and regulations.
Sometimes a landlord will create a lease on a month to month basis as well but this arrangement does not happen as often.
